Coliform:5 tubes, each containing a nutrient tablet, are reacted, stored at room temperature for 40-48 hours and examined for color change and gas formation. The number of positive tubes may be correlated to a MPN.
A simple yet effective method for monitoring the population size and/or activity of specific groups of bacteria. Results are obtained by observation after 2-8 days of room temperature incubation.
